(1) put on hold forever.
(2)Keep getting put on paperless billing which I DO NOT WANT.
(3)Called with complaint, get a representative, they say I am no longer on paperless billing
(4)find I am back on when I get NO BILL, paperless or otherwise
(5)get a call telling me my bill is overdue and it could go to collections

Preferred solution: a letter for my file, which I was promised by Moreen on 4/10/24, telling me I had been removed from paperless billing, but never got.

Verified ReviewerCan't pay. For months I've tried everything online, by the app, and by phone., but always have severe frustration. inexcusable.
Then Near impossible to pay. The App, website, auto phone system and live agents are terrible.
No matter how many times I try, exhaustively explain, and patient I am, they cant get my account straight. Big problem since my landlord started having us tenants pay for the gas. I had two accounts but waSnt told. Now it seems like I have one account but they didn't tell me about the change.
So frustrating. Unbelievable and inexcusable. Please take my money, Nat Grid ! Stop telling me my payment is late when you don't provide a way for me to pay!
Your agents have no idea what's going on and lie to me out of frustration. I ask Are you sure? Am I all paid up ? And they say YES.
then I get notices that it's not paid up, and when I try to fix things, the web site and App are infuriating in every way , gives misinformation about my profile, tries to fix but screws that up that too, then it erases everything and sends you bckto thebeginning. OH, and that just to PAY.
I CANNOT find a way to find ot my balance online or on App. Their customer service in all forms need to be reported to Attorney General.

1. They say they are committed to a fossil fuel future while they push gas usage over alternatives.

Their energy audit is a joke. They tell you to buy their gas guzzling products during the audit
3. their customer service is broken.
They claim to be open at 7 am yet they are closed at that time.
4. I feel like this is Russia or some third world county whenever we have to deal with them.
Preferred solution: For them to shape up as a company.

Terrible Service
Absolutely terrible; avoid, avoid, avoid. I have been trying to get a bill for my address for over 3 months now.
I have not received a single bill since the first day I moved here. Someone, somehow, overwrote my account claiming to live at my address the second day I moved here, and I received absolutely no notification apart from no longer receiving bills. I have called customer service about 78 times, and they have sent out technicians twice now, and yet my issue is "still under investigation" after 3 months. I am hoping that no other unfortunate tenant in my building is paying my bill, as my electricity has yet to be shut off.
Furthermore, I have told them my concerns, attempted to pay, attempted to reset my account, and nothing. Absolute nightmare.
Threatened disconnect immediately for a past due bill that was four days past
I had just paid a past due amount of $113 to this company one day before they sent me a disconnect notice that said pay the rest of what you owe ($85 that had just become past due) or face immediate cutoff. It was due four days earlier.
What kind of company does this? Illegal practices.

My rate went up from 13 cents per KWH to 40 cents per KWH on 11/1/22. My bill is UNAFFORDABLE!
It used to be $65 per month but now its $130 per month! I don't even use that much electricity. I have every lamp unplugged and live like a freaking caveman now. I use a FLASHLIGHT to see in the dark!
These CON-ARTISTS sent me a termination letter because I am unable to keep up with their insanely unaffordable bills.
I've tried to get in touch with them to give them a piece of my mind, but their telephone lines are down! UNACCEPTABLE!

I have called 3 times -about a tree branch that has been hanging off my porch - the branch is close to power lines - it's been over a week - the reps are courteous - but despite work orders filed, no one has yet to show up to remove the branch -.

Wrong bank number
Gave incorrect bank routing number help me by taking correct number bank mailed me have customer service person call me at 585-765-**** today to correct the number please. The bank did a courtesy payment but need you to have correct number. The correct number is 106000****796

Since the 80s Nationsl grid scammed & stole lied & harrased. I wish i knew the person i have a good idea from High School & i smaked his face like a Horses *** is the one behind the 39 year Scam.

Worst electric provider ever! Can't keep power on every time there is a storm of any kind.
They send oud out robotic alerts prior to a predicted storm incessantly telling everyone that they are prepared and then when it becomes a problem they are as useless as can be. But they are well versed in conning the psc into thinking they are the best thing since sliced bread so they can get rate increases.
Too bad they keep bumping up the restoral time by hours as it suots their needs. If there was competition out there they would have been out of business years ago.

Unable to contact the customer service regarding fees billed to my account in error. phone # provided on the bill is no longer in service.
I have been charge over $109 for other fees, that have nothing to do with my bill that it's always paid on time and over the billed amount. I had over $170 credit on my bill and out of nowhere I am billed $72.00
When I try to call regarding the charges the phone # provided on the bill and National Grid website (718-643-****) is no longer in service. How convenient.
