National Grid - Over charged on electric bill

Last month bill national grid showed that I used 600 kwhs and charged me $103.00. This month bill says I used 902 kwhs and charged me $263.00. I don't understand how my electric bill can go up by $160.00 when I haven't even had my electric heat on in over a month and I haven't been using any new appliances that would use alot more electricity.

National Grid came to my house, shut down my electricity and some few other houses in the neighborhood without informing me that my services will be temporary off until tomorrow.
